I can't prove God is real in this one post. My answer wont necessarily change your opinion from what it is. All I can say is that I could not explain my life for the last 4 years, without talking about Jesus. If Jesus hadn't found me, (and yes it was that way round, as I was the lost one!) then I would have married the wrong man, probably had a child by now and be really unhappy.

The point is, God found me when I didn't even realise I was lost!! The Bible is amazing! God reached me through that and through Christians who spoke and lived by the truth. They didn't condemn me for being a sinner and majorly lost, but they showed me love. This reflected how God is. He loves us and that is why Jesus died, so we never have to. Jesus didn't just sacrifice Saturday?! He sacrificed his life for you and me, so even though we mess up and get stuff wrong, we never have to be punished for that, because Jesus took the punishment for us! Once you realise that, which only God can reveal to you, you have peace and see the world very differently!!

Regarding the other faiths...All I know is I called on the name of Jesus and He changed my life, not mohammed, not allah, etc, Jesus. In John 14:6 Jesus says; "I am the way, the truth and the life. Noone comes to the father except through me."

Christians talk of truth, because they've seen their own lives change. We're not set to brainwash you. It's about truth. If you have it and it could help someone, you tell them. Like a cure for cancer would be shared with everyone. Well Jesus is the cure for death! If you know Him you will never die!! I think that's worth sharing! I don't want anyone to go to hell. So the next time someone harps on about Jesus, why not listen? They're telling you so you too will put your trust in Jesus and won't go to hell!!

Catholics believe that Jesus was God the Son, incarnate in human flesh, firstly because God's physical manifestation on earth, plus all the circumstances of that manifestation, were prophesied time and again in Divine Revelation, and Jesus fulfilled that prophecy right to the letter; secondly, because He claimed that He was God (John 10:30, 14:9-10 and numerous other passages), and He never deceived anyone; thirdly, because He proved His divinity by His impeccable holiness and the flawless perfection of His doctrine; fourthly, because only God could have performed the miracles He performed miracles such as walking on the sea, feeding five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, and, after His death on the Cross, resurrecting Himself from His own tomb; fifthly, because only God could have, in the brief space of three years, without military conquest, without political power, without writing a single line or traveling more than a few score miles, so profoundly affected the course of human events; sixthly, because only God can instill in the soul of man the grace and the peace and the assurance of eternal salvation that Jesus instills.

It is through faith. True that one person's faith isn't any better than anothers, still it is through that faith that one believes. Faith is emotional, not technical. It is also personal. If an individual has faith, then what they believe in is real to them.

I believe God to be the creator. I also think there is some truth and some fallacy in every so-called holy doctrine.

You don't ever know. That's why it's called faith. You can believe something because you feel it and it can be true to you, but that doens't mean that it's a conclusive Truth for everyone.

It is all a matter of faith for whatever one believes. Who is right if so many disagree? None of them. All of them. Whatever a person believes is what is right for them and no amount of debating will change that. When we die, then we find out if we were right and other were wrong, or if we were all right, or all wrong.

One true?

Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - betcha never knew that.)

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming lost.

YOUR GOD OR MY GOD ARE NOT DIFFERENT.
GOD IS IN EVERY THING AND EVERY BODY HAS GOD IN HIM.
THE NATURE IS GOD SINCE GOD CREATED NATURE.
THE COSMOS REVERBERATES WITH THE SOUND WHICH IS " BRAHMANAD IN BRAHMAND"
"AUM" IS UNIVERSAL AND FAITH IN UNIVERSALITY OF GOD IS THE ONLY TRUE FAITH.

There is only one God, it is the God that you are familiar with! God manifests himself in different forms because we are all different. For us Christians it is Jesus the son of God who is God. That is the only God that died and rose from the dead for us.

I know because I met God.
He answered my prayer.

If you want to know which God is the True God, why don't you ask Him? He'll answer.
