I've had it, years ago when I was in Germany, City of Hamm, popular amongst the ladies, I had a taste, as I remember it was not bad, but I've got a bit of a sweet tooth!

I've had a coke and a beer in the same hour, but never together. The taste would really depend on what beer you use. There are a lot more flavors of beer than there are of soda.

I was reading an WSJ article about putting half beer & half lemonade, which sounds really good. maybe I will try beer & coke with the other half of my beer. beertails are starting to catch on and I am definitely willing to try them! I hear Germans mix beer & some type of soda...
For a low cal, low carb mix, try:
Miller Lite, Light Lemonade, and a wedge of lemon...that is my plan!

Oh my god, why would anyone despoil the purity of a beer by adding anything (like soda) to it? (wait...did I just answer a question with a question?)
If you want a sweeter beer-like drink...try a mike's hard lemonade or a smirnoff's twisted or some other "malt beverage"...they're all flavored brews (similar to a beer but...well, not! hahaha...and much more sweeter!)
try the beer and soda tho' if you want to, but, i'd recomend only mixing a bit of both in a small glass...that way you arent wasting too much of either! ;-)

That would be a waste of either taken together. I like beer but not mixed with coke. Every once in a while I''ll have a coke but I wouldn't want to mix it with beer. :(

Yup. Miked it with a certain green bottle beer to make it HEINECOKE. Haha.
They sell beer and Sierra Mist/7-up/Sprite at some German bars. Not too good though.

Beer and Coke tast very nice. Just try it. Here is onother one that taste very good. Mix beer and coke together and ad a shot of cherry liquor. We call it Kirsch Goiß.

beer and lemonade is called a shandy, beer and coke is a diesel.
its for those who want to get a slow high or no high, basically dilutes your drink.
both taste good but depends on an individuals palate.

You can make a drink called Dr.Pepper.
6 oz of beer
1 shot of vodka
2 oz of coke
1shot of amaretto
The trick is to leave amaretto in shot glass...carefully let in drop to bottom of glass..
tap the glass a couple of times and drink it down.
