You cannot rip the gayness out of a gay person and still be left with a real living person any more than you can rip their guts out and not be left with a corpse...basically that is what you are doing when you make such pathetic snake-tongued and asinine comments.

Either be honest in your hatred (unChristian) or understand that gayness is intrinsic to a gay person and make an attempt to be tolerant.

I have nothing against Christians, it's their religion I don't agree with

The way the Bible handles homosexuality is all up to interpetation

"Do you not know taht the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulteres nor male prostitutes nor homesexual offenders...."
--1 Corinthians 6:9

Here the Bible does not say "homosexuals" but "homosexual offenders" which some people interpert differently... that perhaps Paul meant cheaters or homosexual prostitutes. Or it could just mean that homosexuality is a sin.

But think about it. Has anyone ever gone if one mile over the speed limit? That is breaking the laws of the land and that is a sin. Has anyone ever said, "Oh my God"? That is saying the Lord's name in vain and that is a sin. Has anyone ever hated someone? That is as good as killing someone and that is a sin.

Everyone sins every single day. Being saved means Jesus' death accounts for your sins. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior means that you will try your very best to follow all the Biblical rules and commandments.

And again remember the Bible has been translated and interperted by 1000's of people and there are still millions of little things that are debatable. Pray about something you are not sure of and God will give you the answer.

God Bless

Well if a person feels being gay is natural and that's the way he or she was born then the term hate the sin does not apply to them, at least in their minds. Love the sinner, hate the sin is an old Christian Cliche that simply means the person that is doing something bad, (according to the Bible) is to be loved accepted and not judged. However the Christian (like Jesus) is to hate the sin that's causing the person to do something bad, acting out of God's will. Now if a person has no remorse about doing something evil and because they like that lifestyle or behavior and don't care about the Bible then they can do whatever they like, be whatever they like, God gives them a free will. In a Democracy such as ours this freedom is encouraged, this is good. Rather a person is Gay, A Christian, Muslim, straight, or whatever they should love one another, not make judjmental comments, name calling, or nasty retorts. And that means both sides of the issue. Kindness and acceptance should be the order of the day. Maybe we won't like someone because of their personallity I can see that. And even that can be overcome according to how much patience and loving we can be. I'm bald, but I don't want people to treat me one way or another because of that. The bible speaks of homosexuality as a sin, so why are so many people from birth drawn towards people of their own sex? There are things I don't understand. One more footnote about sin. If you lie, you have sinned. What level is that sin? The same as a murderer? A gay person? Believe it or not all sins are equal in God's eyes even if they are not the same in ours. The only sin mentioned in the Bible that is worse then all the rest in God's eyes is a rejection of him, his son and the holy spirit. Kind of levels the playing field doesn't it. That must be why Jesus said take the log out of your eye first!

hmm... i understand where you are coming from. I think religious people are trying to make an attempt to be tolerant with the statement love the homosexual....and so on.

I was in a church the other day and the pastor stated that his doors were open to everyone. But he also stated that his beliefs will not change. He will not shun you but he will not ride by your side on every issue.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that you can't expect much from religious people.

FYI -i'm not religious either.

From what I've gotten from people, it means that we are all flawed human beings (sinners) and that we should have compassion for others without being judgemental. However, I completely agree with you that it's just a way of hiding their bigotry.

The most outrageous thing I've heard is that a gay person is like someone who is prone to theft- they're both more inclined to commit sin. It's so ridiculous to compare an act of love to an act that actually hurts others.

Those that have a problem with what gay people (or anyone else for that matter) do in their personal lives are passing judgment. I am not gay, but I could care less if someone else is gay. That doesn't stop me from caring about them as a human being (because that is all they are). I only concern myself with other people's safety and well-being. I just wouldn't want someone to discriminate against me because of the way I choose to live my life so I don't do that to others.

Its about love... love is: patient, kind, humble, not easily provoked.
Love is caring about people... JESUS himself said to love your
enemies. I as a christian love you, but I do not condone the sin of homosexuality. Love is simply demonstrating the above traits in your interaction with people... that's what it means to love the sinner but hate the sin. Also homosexuality is not a genetic problem as some declare, GOD doesn't make mistakes. Homosexuality is lust based. Have you ever heard of celibate homosexuals? You can be healed of this by simply excepting JESUS CHRIST as your personal savior. JESUS loves you and desires a relationship with you. I will pray for you...

you are Gay and that is an ABOMINATION A SIN UNGODLY and IT IS DISGUSTING TO BOOT! you are not born gay you are just messed up in the head because you have a problem with authority and you are disobedient.Jesus commands me to love you. I don't have to like you and your ways. But I have to love you. And if you ask questions you better be prepared to hear the truth. I don't have to be tolerant of your behavior or 'lifestyle'. I don't have to sit while you shove your "gayness" in my face. But I have to love you even if I don't like what you do.

AND: Sodom & Gomorrah were blown sky high for disobidence and wrecklessness and sexual freakiness.
Jesus loves the person Jesus hates the sin.

Don't worry about it. People will talk about you, no matter who you are or how good you are or what you're into. That's what people do. I talk about people and they talk about me. :)

People usually hate what they can't understand. Homosexuality is a great example of this since some men who aren't homosexual act aggressivly toward the idea because they don't understand it... or they're asswholes. :)

I myself don't care what people are doing in the bedroom. I don't want to know what someone is doing in their bedroom unless they share that room with me. I don't like "gay pride" crap because then I have to know about it and I don't do hetero pride marches.

I think the point behind the mantra is (or at least, should be) that we all sin. God hates all sin, but He calls us to love one another. So...love a man, not his sin. It means that you can love and respect anyone, regardless of who they are and what they've done. You don't have to agree with everything a friend does to call him your friend; why is sexual preference any different?

heres some honesty for you. if a man cannot see the beauty in a woman and want to be with her instead of being with another man (sickest thing to do ever) then stay to yourselves. I don't understand it and don't want to. If you guys can't help that weird feeling then I feel sorry for you. That is really sad. There is nothing greater than love between a woman and a man. gay is just messed up....YUCK
