First you have to understand that even since wars are inhuman, they are necessary to keep our country safe. The war we are in today is as bogus as vietnam was. It was started on a lie over the twin towers, but it's all about oil and world power. IF we weren't fighting over there, the war would be over here. The entire thing is a sad situtation. It is also prophizied in the bible. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
We are now living in the end times, and everyone needs to get born again by accepting Jesus as their savior. Jesus is coming in our lifetime. ready or not. And that is what you should be teaching your children. To be ready for Jesus return for His church when He comes and rapturs us. Everyone else will be left behind to suffer along with satan.
Now you want to teach the children that killing is inhumain, then get rid of all those games that teach our children today to kill and to cut the heads off of another person. Make those games illegal to mass produce, and illegal to sell.
I'll bet if you looked into the houses of all those kids who shot up their schools, you'd find one or more of those" training to slaughter" games, like mortal combat etc. We don't need to fear terrorists coming into our country, when we are trainging our own kids to become home grown terrorists with those games.
Those kinds of games were not allowed into my house. When I found one, It went straight into the fireplace and was destroyed. Parents have a responsibility to show their kids the right path to go in life. And it should start with the bible and getting them into chruch at a young age. Children follow the examples that parents set for them. You want your child in church, then it has to start with you being there too.
It's not just wars you need to teach your kids about, but about life with God, Jesus and what Jesus did for them at the cross at calvary. Teach them about salvation. John 3:15-18
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
All the answeres to all your questions about raising a child and living right are in the bible. Read it daily and apply it to your life every day, starting with today.
God bless you and your family

That's a good question.
I think it's important to tell kids that war is serious business. It should always be the very last option.
But is it wise to say that war should NEVER be an option? I don't think so, and I think history supports my opinion on this.
Look what happened in the late 1930s, with Neville Chamberlain appeasing Hitler. Hitler was appeased in exchange for his promise not to invade any more of Europe.
We know what happened, of course. Hitler went off to invade a lot more of Europe, touching off the deadliest war in human history.
The history of appeasement shows us that it invariably leads to the very violence and suffering that it was intended to avoid -- and often in much greater numbers than it would have been.
War is never a good thing, of course, but there have been times when it has become our only option.
What's more, there have been times when war has served a noble purpose.
Back to World War II again. What stopped Hitler's expansion? What stopped him from killing Jews?
What stopped the Japanese from invading half of Asia? What stopped them from committing horrible atrocities in Nanking, Shanghai, the Philippines, and elsewhere?
Military action did -- after everything else had failed.
Look at Iraq. Are Iraqis better off with Hussein out of the way? Of course they are!
Twelve years of diplomacy and 16 UN resolutions did nothing to stop that monster. Only military intervention did.
When I was in the Navy, trust me, the last thing I or any of my fellow servicemen and servicewomen wanted was a war.
Nobody, as General MacArthur said, despises war more than the soldier (or the sailor, airman, or marine).
But let's face it, we live in a world where at different times in history, very bad people have come into power in certain countries and have done very, very bad things.
Some of these people have been quite mad -- and we can see it even now in places like Venezuela, North Korea, Iran,, and Cuba.
And often, nothing else works with these guys.

Even grown ups have difficulty understanding this. Strange as it may seem, compulsory military service may be the best way to let them see evils of war first hand. This way, they wouldn't be a war mongerer who has never had a shot fired upon him. Many peace activists are veterans.

My parents used to sit in the living room with me and we would watch television together and when an issue would come up, they would start talking about how they disapprove and why. After growing up that way, I had a strong sense of right and wrong. Maybe that is why.

I wouldn't say it is inhuman. It's in our nature to destroy ourselves. But you can try and prevent violent behavior from developing in your kids by not buying them toy guns and not showing violent behavior yourself. Kids will imitate you and how you handle hot situations. Good luck.

If we focus our efforts on getting our children to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they will grow to abhor violence as part of their individual flowering as believers. It is an absolute necessity for us to pray with them and for them constantly. Thus it is necessary that we as parents accept Him also.
