I hate those bugs!!
There are two reasons for getting nasty infectious scabs...
1. allergy to the lil buggers
2. you scratch at them. fingernails are full of germs, no matter how clean we keep them.
Homemade remedy... baking soda paste
take some baking soda and make it into a paste with water and put it on these scabs. This will take the itch out.
I get scabs, because i scratch and i have found the baking soda remedy the best.
Good luck

As soon as you notice them you need to apply an antihistimine ointment and antibacterial(triple antibiotic) then take an antihistimine tablet of some kind. Benadryle is good or any of the new antiallergy meds like claratine will work too. You are probably having a slight alergic reaction to the bites. The antihistimines will stop the itching and the antibactial ointment (triple antibiotic) will stop infections. My son is the same way, he is 3 and we had to give him zyrtec liquid form. He get huge welts without even scratching.

Well part of this is because you are scratching at them and making them open wounds with dirty hands. When your skin is sensitive you are more prone to the germs that live on your hands at all times. So you open up the wounds and get those germs into them.
Your best bet is to first of all wear very good mosquito repellent. And though I know its impossible do your best to stay away from areas with a high mosquito population.
Than when you get bit put benedryl ointment gel or any other anti-itch on them right away. Even cover them with a band aid or something to keep yourself from itching them.
Do not scratch with your finger nails just rub with the pads of your fingers. And do not rub right on it just around it.
Good luck!

Try and dab a little calamine lotion on each bite when you first notice them ..perhaps before bed. This will prevent you from itching and that is what causes scabbing and even infection at times. Bacteria from under your fingernails..each time you scratch causes the bite to become infected.

Um, if they bleed instantly when you touch them, you might want to ask a doctor about it but if you are really scratching at them, that's your problem lol.
