This may sound funny, but I am serious. I yawn alot. LIke all day long.Even when I get plenty of sleep. Am I just overly tired, even with plenty of sleep, or is there something else that causes yawning?Even when I don't feel tired I yawn, but maybe my body truly is tired, i don't know?? I am going to research this, too, but I thought I'd ask here, too, just incase someone knows.

I do have asthma -- it hasn't been as serious in recent years.

I do breath very, very slowly. The oxygen answer may be right. My asthma has gotten much better, but like I said I breath really really slow..sometimes it seems as though I hold my breath not realizing it or something.

If you REALLY want to stop yawning, take more frequent breaths. By yawning, your body is taking in more air than you previously were, telling you you need to breath heavier. Either get into the habit of breathing heavy or get some good excercise, that'll make you take in alot of air and stop your yawning.. hopefully =/ lol

Do you have a sleep disorder? Many people do and don't even know it. If people have complained about you snoring, or if you feel lousy when you first wake up, you might want to get it checked out.

You need more oxygen in your body, or you need to get rid of an excess of carbon dioxide, I can't remember.
