If you could do one thing to make the world a better place, what would you do?

do you know if eveyone did one small thing then the world would definitly be a better place.. i would start with my own country Zimbabwe.. coz unlike the rest of the world who are so busy sending troops off too iraq they are not concetrating on their own country and its ppl first!! instead they just creating war.. i would make my voice heard.. become regognised so ppl would start listening to me!! and actually get all these world 'leaders' to do something!! i plan on becoming an aid worker next year.. a small job but every small job plays in a bigger part

I would put in place laws that people can only have one child.. since Human Population Growth is the number one threat to our continuned existance (as warned by the United Nations some years ago, and agreed by scientists everywhere)
the problem is partly people having too many kids, but is compounded now because we are living longer than people did 200-300 years ago... so it makes the burden of population growth less bareable...
currently we sit at over 6.5 BILLION people... The United Nations says that 5 Billion is a sustainable level... some scientists argue that 500 Million is more reasonable - so unless in 100 years from now we want to see laws that will force the death of people who reach ages like 80 yrs... we had better get our population level down now....

stop consuming stop raping the planet - too many people are destroying the place

Be a better person myself and pass it on to others who would pass it on. Visualize the world being a better place on a regular basis and meet with more and more people to mediate on this together. A group of people meditating in Washington D.C. brought the crime rate down 30%, just think of what we could do as a collective force throughout the world. As a matter of fact, I am going to do this right now - I am going to advertise for people to come and meet to mediate on a better world! Thank you for the question!

Good question... I suppose I would START by trying to make my own community a better (safer, more cultural, friendlier, etc) place. If everyone did the same it could result in huge changes. Then if I had the resources I would go other places and try to do the same.

Find a cure for every disease. For example make a bed that knows the cure for every disease. An ill person could lay on it and be cured.
