It's because they take Martin Luther's lesson to heart:

"What harm would it do, if a man told a good strong lie for the sake of the good and for the Christian church...a lie out of necessity, a useful lie, a helpful lie, such lies would not be against God, he would accept them."
- Martin Luther

"Lying for jeebus" is an expected part of many christians' lives.

so why is it that so many atheist try to put the Christian faith on blast all the time. The world is full of faiths and various beliefs yet it seems like Christians often get targeted by atheist, maybe im wrong maybe not. But anyone of any faith or belief system gets offended one time or another when another person questions their way of life. It is not Christians or Christianity it has nothing to do with faith, it is just human nature to feel threatened when they're way of life which is what they base much of the morales from is questioned so often and in some cases in such a rude way.

You not in any respect listen definitive solutions, perchance, because you gained't pay interest? Admittedly, some people use scripture to promote hatred, bigotry and violence, and those all of us isn't any extra acceptable than terrorists who pervert the Koran to get little ones to finish suicide missions. those are the people who're the authentic hypocrites and sit down in judgement, yet also damage the faith and God they declare to revere and love. not all Christians even remotely in nice condition the outline above. perchance your idea is altered by using a sense of superiority or a concepts closed or extra probably, persons who've attacked you or your self esteem, both bodily or manipulatively. certain, the idea of a monotheistic God is a paradox.....All-present yet own, 3 and yet one, loved and yet feared. yet in simple terms with the aid of the indisputable fact that's a paradox doesn't propose it would want to't exist. And a dogs chasing its tail positive sounds like that is having relaxing.....

The link you posted had nothing to do with a Christian getting upset at an atheist posting a question.
If your honest with yourself you'll see most of the insults are directed at the Christians that post questions.

Well if you have any proof post it. Why do you atheists always post general statements like this with no hard proof of any kind. Your posts have no purpose other than to see if you can instigate some Christian to post something negative and then you can pounce on them.

I dunno, I generally find atheist questions to be on the humorous side, the light side. (Meaning humor was the reaction the poster was going for.)

I get more offended when people scream "Gays are going to hell!" than anything.

I've even looked at some websites atheist link to and some are entertaining. The Spaghetti Monster is funny. (And I think it's supposed to be.)

I guess some people take things too seriously. I also suspect some atheists enjoy ticking them off....... ;P

I think the problem might be in the way so many of those questions are posted in such an ignorant manner.

I think Christians tend to find the lack fo belief in god to be offensive. They think that it is their job to spread the message of god to all areas of everyone's life, when not everyone needs it. They think athiests are ignorant and everyone knows ignorant questions are so annoying

For the same reason Athiests get offended for the same thing.

Try not to generalize.

I've seen your history of the questions you post in "their" section.

I think you should work on "tact" as an interpersonal skill.
