It would seem to me that the very concept of Y/a Religion and Spirituality is for the posting and answering of questions regarding those topics.
Christianity is a religion.
In a way being an Atheist is also a religion.
Islam is a religion.
I will admit that I have seen questions answered by those claiming Christianity that were full of hatred and a certain amount of foul language. It really bothers me as a Christian Pastor to see questions asked and answered in that manner.
I would hope that those other groups I mentioned don't judge, we shouldn't anyway, all Christians by the actions of some that don't understand the true meaning of Christianity.
I assure you that I, as a Christian Pastor, don't judge others strictly because of different beliefs that are held.
I may not agree with you but I will defend your right to feel that way.

Um...Christianity IS a religion? That's why. The better question would be why do atheists (who don't believe in any kind of a higher power or spiritual realm, and therefore don't have a "religion" or "spirituality") ask questions in this category?
I personally have no agenda, I just like to see what some people are thinking, and I like to see biblical questions answered here.
AS for having nothing to talk about becasue I believe in God...I believe that we have a democratic process to our government and that whoever is voted in is in charge and therefore can make decisions, but do I sometimes wonder why certain decisions are made? Yes. Would I love a few minutes of Bushie's time to ask a few questions? Sure. Would I like to ask people who know more about politics and people in politics some of my questions and see if i can get a clearer understanding through that? Yes. In the same way, I want to ask questions and answer them in religion and spirituality to better my own understanding.

Ed, I think I owe you an apology. You got to admit though, that your country doesn't exactly have a glowing human rights record. You guys are a lot like the Americans as a nation, moved from one part of the world to another. My primary ethnicity is from one of the nations which suffered greatly at the hands of an invading nation, so my initial reply to the other question was off the cuff and very 20th century. Good luck with the coming elections. My favourite Secular Muslim nation is Indonesia. Indonesians are pretty cool.

If Atheistism isn't a RELIGION, and you don't believe in a CREATOR (GOD ALMIGHTY) which is SPIRITUAL, then why are you on here at Yahoo Religion and Spirituality Question's?
My personal Agenda for being on here is to:
1. Help Human Being's find JESUS, by telling them HOW and WHAT Salvation is.
3. Do what JESUS told us to do after were SAVED, Teach the FAITHFUL, "Faithful" being Saved People who will teach other Saved People what JESUS has taught THEM. We (the Saved) should be teaching each other what we have learned so we all can GROW.
(yeah, I know, I make mistake's 2.)

I desire asking, yet journey has taught me that's seldom quite quite worth the attempt. The questions that particularly pastime me are purely too a procedures available for many actual everyone here. I nonetheless ask some, yet those are not quite approximately issues that matter a lot to me. I even have little pastime in being properly customary here. I keep my inner maximum innovations inner maximum. the effect is that I land up answering a lot extra questions than I ask.

Live and let live. Diversity makes the world go round. If we all shared the same views the world would be a very boring place. I suppose in their own way they are trying to help by "saving" you but I feel they go about it the wrong way. That's one of my main complaints as well. I was brought up in a christian household but have recently been questioning my beliefs and adopting my own because christians claim they are a loving group of people but yet most are very nasty and mean spirited. My best advice to you is just to ignore post that you find upsetting. Your never going to be able to make them stop...it will only add fuel to the fire. Rise above and be the better person. Best of luck to you.

There's a lot for Christians to talk about, especially among one another. We are trying to foster understanding across boundaries, share what we each know and believe.
Why does an atheist ask questions in religion and spirituality? Clearly they have neither.

Is somebody twisting your arm up you back so that you MUST read any questions posted in Religion and Spirituality?
If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen dear BOY.
You are just like the chap who can't stand Bang-la music on his radio. He is just too goddamn lazy to change the channel.
If you don't like what you see don't look.

Imagine this....
You are driving down a very wide road. The road is filled with all sorts of people driving. Everyone on the road, including you, have an odd disease that makes you partially blind. No one can see farther than five feet ahead. Some people don't really care, and they speed all around bumping into other. Some people are really cautious, trying to be safe drivers.
You become aware of this disease. You realize that you have a big problem. However, you don't know how to fix this problem. All you know is that you can't see farther than five feet. And so, one day, you decide to call upon a higher power to help. You call out to God in Heaven. At first, there is no answer. You begin to wonder if there is even a God at all. So, you try different Gods and different religions. You are not sure there is a God, but you constantly seek Him.
One day, your prayers are answered. You find God. You fall on your knees and pray, "Please God, cure me of this disease. Please help me. I want to be able to see farther than five feet." This true God answers, "Since you have asked me, the one and true God, and have believed in me, I will give you new eyes. You will now be able to see forever." In that moment, you are changed and your eyes are opened.
You open your new eyes and look out. For the first time, you can see for miles in the distance. For the first time, you can also see the road ends. Everyone who is driving on this wide road is heading to a cliff. Everyone is doomed. So what do you do?
You may begin to question your new eye sight. Are you really seeing this cliff? Or is your mind making this up? The cliff was never there before, was it? And so, you begin to ask questions. You really want to make sure of this.
If you believe it, you may try to warn others. You may go from car to car and say, "Stop!! You are driving toward a cliff. Turn back!!" Of course, who would believe you? You try to tell people, "God opened my eyes." Except, they all laugh at you and no one believes you.
Then, someone does believe you. And they do the same thing you did. They call out to God for help. He comes down and opens their eyes. You then have a new friend who share this experience. And so, you go out again and again trying to help people learn about this.
Of course, not everyone will believe. And then, there will be some who will believe. However, would you ever stop warning people of the cliff? If you knew that everyone around you was blind and you knew the cure, wouldn't you try to help them? If you knew everyone was driving toward a huge cliff, wouldn't you try to help them? If God came to you, and helped you, wouldn't you tell everyone and ask questions?
Christians are always talking about Jesus, and trying to share Jesus, and asking about Jesus because He has the cure to sin. Everyone is driving toward a cliff called "death and judgement." However, Jesus has promised that anyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. He will take away their blindness (sin), and give them new eyes to see (salvation), and then also give them a new eternal life.
