When I moved, I accidentally left an open box of extension cords, coaxial cable, adapters, etc., outside in the rain. Are they safe to use?

Once they dry out THOROUGHLY you can use them again. But you have to give them time for all the water to dry out of wherever it has gotten into. Give them a week.

The extension cords should be fine after they are completely dry. The coaxial cables and adapters won't dry well. The water will wick inside and interfere with the signal. You can try them after they have dried, but it may be necessary to replace them.

If they were in good condition then they should be, after leaving them out to dry properly. Most wires/cables like that are insulated well against water, unless of course they were under water for a long time, then the water may have soaked into small openings/cracks in the insulation. If they arent really important, play it safe and toss them however.

The cables should be ok---adaptors and other things I am not sure about... It depends on what they are!

They should be fine, as long as they are thoroughly dried and there is no visible corrosion.
