Psychologically a lot of people seem to need religion as a prop and significantly, what ever religion they follow they all seem to guarantee an afterlife!!

They however have every right to believe and worship what they want just as you have an equal right to disbelieve. Many Christians get a bad reputation because they presume they are holier than thou and put pressure on others to believe them and try and dictate how others should live.

You also have a right to question - sensibly if you need to. But the way you constructed the last sentence with **** actually seems calculated to be insulting to Christians and they do not deserve that.

You destroyed a good question by using **** instead of IT. Pity because you may have got some more reasoned answers.

It's not a question of the bible. The bible is only one part of what we know and believe.

The fact that a man named Jesus Christ lived, claimed he was God, died, and rose again from the dead, proving that he was exactly who he said he was, is attested to by many real, unbiased historical sources, other than the bible.

Eye witnesses to Christ remained alive until about the year 96 AD. By then, many, many thousands of people all over the known world had become Christians.

The Catholic church collected the teachings of Christ and his apostles and passed it along by WORD as well as in writing.

For example, it's unlikely you had to learn about playing baseball or football by reading a book. Anybody in the U.S. could tell you about those sports, because (almost) everybody plays them or watches them.

It's the same way with the true faith.

The bible is fine for reference and study, but the true Christian faith has always been handed down by those who lived it and practiced it.

Truth is very important when it comes to godly things, simply because fables won't save you from death and hell. Only Jesus Christ will do that.

Protestant Christians decided to rely only on what was written in the bible, during the 15th century.

That only messed things up and caused confusion. The bible was never intended to be the only faith authority, or to provide all the answers. That is the job God assigned to the church, which Jesus personally founded for us.

Most people couldn't read until recent times, anyway.

FYI - Jesus clued us in about a lot of mysterious spiritual stuff when he walked the earth 2,000 years ago. It's no longer necessary to rely on fables and wild speculation.

If you want fables, read Aesop. If you want the truth, become Catholic.

YOU have only seen this EARTH after the Curse and the Devil (satan) entered into it and messed it up. If you could get one look at it befor that happened, you would wonder, What the HELL went wrong with it? and you would be right. You would have a better chance of Believing in the CREATOR then, but , it's still Beautiful anyway, just Believe, cause there really isn't any excuse not to.

Sumerian memories of Gilgamesh even had memories of an concepts-blowing flood. First of all, your question hardly makes sense... but I think I get what you are trying to say. Why are you so judgemental? Worry about your own beliefs and how you live your life and don't waste your time inciting problems with other people's beliefs. We all have the right to believe whatever we want and however we want. Leav it alone and focus on your own problems - not the problems of a very old book of good lessons and important metaphors.

Is it your goal in life to try and destroy others faith? Does it bother you that there are some people who believe different then you do? You want to have a serious discussion but you do nothing but bash. You close your mind and and make fun of things you have no faith in and what does this do? does it make you happy because others can have something to believe in and you wish to express how misunderstanding you can be. God made earth, ppl, creatures and all things in his image and the devil made things, ppl and negative things in his and that's why there is a battle for our souls cause God created Satan and he will crush him like he made him.
