How do you compare the last breath of a starving child with the infinite, immortal power of god? If he exists and has this power, there is no reason that would allow him to watch one child starve to death, let alone thousands every day.

What is gods reasoning in allowing children to be tortured, starved, sexually assaulted and murdered?

Please don’t just say freedom of choice; he has the power to stop it.

As a Reincarnationist I understand that everyone who is alive today made the choice to be here in a realm of our own making. Although religions teach us that there's a heavenly 'Father' who hears our prayers, the reality is we and we alone are collectively responsible for ourselves - because we chose free will over mindless servitude. We chose to learn through the experiences of many lifetimes, and we have to come to terms with the fact that we are all connected to one another, that there is a portion of 'God' in ourselves and in everyone and everything. As long as we think like little children who are crying in the night for our daddy to come make things right, or imagine that we see 'Satan' everywhere and blame it all on imaginary bogeymen - we are misunderstanding our purpose here - our ultimately divine purpose - which is to accept responsibility for the world we live in -- and answer our own prayers.

Because God is the God of Heaven and Satan is the ruler of the Earth. God could stop it, but he told us as Christians to do it. We are to care for the poor, sick and lame. It is our fault for hording our food and money and not helping the starving children. Do you sponsor any children? As for the tortured, sexually assaulted and murdered, that happens to many, not just children. It happens to children, sinners and Christians alike. As long as there are evil people in the world, there will be evil acts. There is nothing that can be done about that (other than witnessing to others) until judgment day comes.

He does this to test people's faith. Did you ever think about this, "God's only child died for you and me?"!!!!!! HIS own child. There are a lot of things that happen everyday that we may not understand but you should never give up or question God's doing. EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I have no idea why things such as children getting sexually assaulted happen but, it is not HIM letting it happen!!! I was sexually assaulted as a child. Do I hate God for letting that happen? Of course not. It's made me better today. I have a lot of compassion and understanding for people that this happens or has happened to and I can give them good advise as to how to deal with it years later if they still have not learned how. So I'm here for a reason with a story to tell to anyone who will listen with what I have been through. I understand that sometimes we do have doubts, but trust me, there is none greater!

It's called The Curse of Sin. It started in the Garden of Eden with Man's disobedience. It is the Human Race's fault that the innocent suffer along with the guilty. There are always severe consequences to rebelling against God or shaking our fist in His face, like so many do.
It's about Sin.
It's not God's fault. When it's all said and done, he will avenge the innocent. The Bible is very clear on that."Revenge is mine ,saith the Lord."

"some human beings" purely don't have the certainty or skill to logically learn an information. the same may be seen in lots of things of debate. yet purely by way of fact "some human beings" are this way, that doesn't recommend there are actually not any which could grant sound reasoning and information for his or her view. as an occasion, God does not might desire to be excused for close to-genocide. He on no account promised we'd stay forever, or that we would possibly no longer go through consequences if we % to stay in sin. purely the different. God promised life is short and our strikes have consequences. we don't might desire to invent invisible geographical regions for God. in very fact nonetheless that some issues are certainly invisible, yet all of us know they exist from different information. Do you think in gravity, air, love, the planet Neptune, etc. have you ever seen those? there are various assets you have on no account seen, felt, tasted, smelled, or heard which you think in by way of fact of information. Likewise a lot of human beings believe in God by way of fact of information. purely when you consider which you haven't any longer seen and/or examined this information, that doesn't recommend that's no longer valid or that God does not exist. the incontrovertible fact that human beings make excuses for God (or evolution, or the huge Bang concept, or approximately the different challenge) does not prepare that God isn't valuable (or that He or those different subjects are or are actually not valid), it purely shows the weak spot interior the skill of "some human beings".

We do not have the ability to comprehend God's infinite wisdom. We can only make mild attempts to understand.
The starving will starve no more, the blind will see, it is all a part of his mighty plan. Farther along, we'll understand why!

Here is a host of links on suffering from a Christian perspective:

http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/death_suffering.asp

The world was cursed due to Adam and Eve's original sin. It will not be restored until after Jesus comes back.

You say that he has the power to stop it and you are correct. However, He gave us freedom of choice, and that is a self-limitation on his power so that we as a human race can decide to follow Him or not.

well i don't believe in god as an all-powerful being. i think orginized religion was created to control people. I think it's positive and it helps people live a more righteous life. it also gives people hope when they're going through hard times, but i don't believe that i'm gonna go to hell because i dont' believe jesus died for my sins. i don't believe in a heaven with gold streets and pearly gates. if there were a heaven, i don't think it would be described by such materialistic things as gold and pearls.

He has the power to do anything, but you're not seeing the big picture. Our earthly suffering is inconsequential to our eternal life with God in heaven. God could have stopped Jesus from being tortured and crucified, but he didn't. Those who suffer in life will receive their reward in heaven.

If you are sincere about wanting forgiveness of you sin and humble your self and pray believing that God will forgive you He can and I believe that He will.

He knows the very intents of your heart. You can lie to and deceive me but you can't deceive Jesus Christ.

Any attempts to deceive man or Christ are sins. Do not be foolish and risk your own soul.
