I did this last summer. My grandfather served in the same places. someone posted the link below, but you'll have to get one of either your parent (his child) or aunts and uncles to get the info. They won't give it to a grandchild.

Also, you have to know that a lot of Army records were damaged in a fire in the 70's, so they may not have it all. I was only able to get my grandfather's discharge form, which did have his awards on it, except his purple heart.
