Hello, would you happen to know what it means when someone places under a bed a plate of salt, half of an onion, 4 pieces of garlic in each corner of the plate, and 2 cinnimon sticks in the form of a cross placed on top of the onion?

If it were, the salt would be used for purification and the garlic for protection from negativity. I don't know how the onion and cinnamon would be used. It sounds like simple folk magic to me.

It sounds like a spell or curse of some sort. I am not sure but you should start praying right now and asking Heavenly Father to remove any curses or spells placed upon you in the name of Jesus Christ. Spells and curse are real or the Bible would not have talked about them.

It's an old form of pow-wow (PA Dutch folk wisdom/medicine). Pow-Wow incorporated things from wicca and Christianity and folk medicine and came up with their own unique mixture. It's basically for protection against things that go bump in the night.

My mom used to burn incense (palm leave's) during a thunder and lightning storm. Phooeey! I got SAVED, learned alittle bout' using FAITH and GOD let me command the weather one time. Work's alot better than being scared of it (lightning). I am an Ex-Catholic. Now, don't get me wrong, there are alot of Catholic's getting SAVED, as there are other's in other RELIGION's, but Religion won't SAVE you, only JESUS, died on the CROSS and RISEN from the Dead. Get SAVED then go to church. Ditto!
