I always thought the simple things in life are always remembered to be "The Good Times" How about having a campfire..roast hot dogs and marshmallows (nothing fancy) and have a glass of wine and sit back and enjoy the things nature has to offer. Chit chat at the fire---watch the flames dancing in eachother's eyes.

PS) I have campfires all the time just for relaxation

pack a picnic, go to the dollar theatre and an ice cream shop, go the grocery and get all the food you like and prepare it at home for a candle light dinner, have a twister compitition, rent a movie to go with your nice dinner, go to a local park for a nice walk, walk around your neighborhood, get some flowers to plant outside, have a sports day-sleep in and have all kinds of snacks and watch your fav game, camping can be relitivaly cheep, go to the zoo, go to a local musium, go on a short road trip, learn something new together-(cooking, a dessert, a language, star names)
for about 2 years my husband and i tried a different wine and cheese every weekend, that was a lot of fun and now we know a little more about wine and cheese, you could do the same with something different, have a cook out, take an art class, go to local turists spots.
i'm sure you will find something fun to do!

You could always go on a picnic, visit museums (usually a 'suggested donation'), rent movies and make dinner together at home, have dinner parties with friends, there are tons of things that don't cost money. What do you like to do?

You can go places where you donthave to pay for food, or entrance, that helps.ANd you can go places that are close to home, and you can spend time in the backyard for a while, save that money for a big trip...
