When family members listen to RUMORS with no factual basis and treat you as a outsider. ( no truth to all accusations what so ever )They have own issuse that need to be addressed but because I try to be professional with everthing I do that why it`s such a big deal.

You can't change them. You can't make them see the truth when they don't want to. You can only control your reaction to them. Do your best to limit contact. When you feel obligated to socialize (like, say, at Christmas or Thanksgiving), pretend you're gathering material for your stand-up routine.

Seriously. I started this several years ago when I realized I was dreading the upcoming family gatherings. I pay attention to all of the idiotic things my relatives and in-laws do and say. I have lots of fun retelling the entire adventure to my closest friends. It's become a tradition among my buddies.

Been there, done that. People see something that looks like something else and they automatically think the worst. The best thing for you to do if you are not doing what they are accusing you of doing, is don't make it look that way. Make sure you have witnesses as to what you are doing. If I had more deal tails about what was going on here I could probably be of more help. But I don't want to say something that is not right and then you get mad all over again and at me, a total stranger! lol

There is an old saying..Clean up your own back yard before you start talking about someone else's yard.

You could go two ways about it.
1. Ignore them, and just let it be what it is. You don't need them
anyway.

OR

2. Meet all of your family members that are doing this, in the
same place and say what's on your mind about everyone that
is being so ignorant, I'm sure you'll feel a lot better.

Well ignore them. I mean I know its hard but still if you know its not true then go ahead living your life. Just pretend you don't care and yeah because the more madder you get at the rumors, the more they are going to think they are true. Do the opposite of what the rumors say.

Hello Brother, you too?

Tell them the truth (you can't force them to believe it.)

Live at least a full-day's drive away from family.

Minimize contact.

Yes, family is family...but we don't have to allow ourselves to be beaten to death over silly things.
