The ideal bakery would only sell treats that they made THAT day. An hour before closing time, they would sell EVERYTHING at half price. They would have a variety of cakes, as well as individual slices, of cakes....LARGE slices, mind you. (I mean, after all, this IS a fantasy.) There would also be cupcakes, cookies and large crossants. AND.....everything would be baked with GOOD HEALTH in mind. They would use applesauce, instead of butter, whenever possible. I bake this way and my treats are less fattening than they would be normally and they are GOOD. They would have tables and chairs for the customers in a clean, sunny room. And I need to mention....all of the employees would be polite, well-spoken individuals with good grammar (talk about a fantasy) and conscious of the reason why they were hired; to help insure that each and every customer was happy that they had frequented this establishment. If you ever hear of a place like this, let me know. I'm sure to become one of their regulars!!!
This was a fun question. Thanks for asking it.

I've always wanted to own my own coffeeshop/bakery. Only fresh baked goods made from scratch, muffins, danishes, sweet breads, cinnamon buns, savory muffins (one I make is stuffed with bacon, eggs, veggies and cheese...), donuts, eclairs, decadent cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and cookies. Adding a few really different treats on a daily basis. (I make a lemon thyme cookie that is simple, yet surprisingly good to anyone who tries it.)
Then instead of using coffee pots, I'd have instant hot water dispensers at the sinks. Every customer could pick the coffee beans they want. They'd be ground to order, put into a French press, and then filled with the hot water. The customer could then take the French press to their table and have the freshest coffee around. Cuts back on counter space and provides a freshly brewed cup every time.
Now one of these days, I might actually have enough money to follow through with my dream.

If I had a bakery, it may be one that appealed to each and all of the senses. i could have it in a corner area interior the historic part of downtown. i could purchase mismatched wood chairs, tables and china shelves, then misery them and paint them in delicate colours like cream and toddler-blue. i could paint watercolor artwork of artwork of nation-state scenes on the partitions, then demonstrate my products on mismatched milk-ware and serve in-save nutrients on mismatched china and silverware. My seen baked products could be adorned to look like they are coated in white frosting lace and chocolate Celtic knot-artwork... i could sell a huge variety of pastries from international and additionally sell bake-at-homestead mixes with factors like lavender, mint leaves and vanilla beans. If achieveable, i could have indoor and outdoors seating. i could beautify with stay plant existence potted in climate-worn terra cotta pots, and that i could play previous international instrumental track softly interior the background.
