does anyone know how long it takes to receive the work permit? I am mad at illegals, I just had to pay $575.00 for the work permit, and countless other monies, to bring him here legally

Immigration has to give your husband a decision on his I-765 application within 90 days.

It generally takes a few months...hey don't be mad at illegals they're doing the best they can with what they have. You had 575 that's great! Countless others don't and risk a lot, even death (some do die) in order to get here. Once they're here...most do eventually become legalized citizens, like myself.

My brother has been working towards doing the same. $15 000 & 7 years later he just showed me his nice shiny greencard. $575 is merely penies. I wouldn't be complaining if I were you
