The other night, I went out to a dance club, one that does disco. I was dressed in a white leisure suit to fit the part. Anyways, I'm there amongst a crowd of people, doing my thing on the dance floor. Someone yells, "GET DOWN!". So, I lay down on the floor. Someone steps on me, I scream, and the next thing I know, the bouncers are escorting me outside. What did I do wrong?

you're funny but I just couldn't buy what your selling. Maybe if you had left out the part with the white leisure suit I might have believed you.

Peace

"get down" is slang for dance and enjoy the music... not to be taken literally. When you laid down on the floor and then screamed when stepped on, you created a disturbance and the bouncers, wanting to difffuse any possible trouble, threw you out.

Maybe when "the someone" yelled "GET DOWN", they meant that you were dancing really well. As far as the bouncers escorting you outside, maybe they thought you were being a troublemaker. Relax its just one club.

i was laughing so hard when i read the details to your question. your funny. well, get down didn't literally mean, get down on the floor...it meant u were probably dancing real well. "get down" is basically the same as "get low"...but don't crouch down though, you're gonna make me laugh harder!
maybe because you screamed, the bouncers took u outside...they probably thought u were causing trouble...welcome to the US though!

one you must dress up very casually to fit in america, two, dont act on comments you least understand, instead pretend that you dint hear that, so that you dont have to do something stupid.
