B12 is synthesised naturally in animal ad human body.
Liver stores it.
Deficiency in pernicious anemia ,cirrhosis and chronic alcoholism and total vegetarianism (those who abstain from milk even) Deficiency causes subacute combined degenetation of spinal cord (called syringomyelia)
and megaloblastic anemia

All i know about vitamin B12 is that my doctor prescribed it for me for PMT . Which seems to work don`t know how but it does.
