Because the Bible is a work of fiction, written by fiction writers before evidence of dinosaurs was discovered.
The bible specifically states that God first created the heavens and the earth, then mankind. There is no mention of God creating dinosaurs before he got onto making humans. Proves what a crock religion really is!

The bible is a publication collected together from many different texts that were selectivly chosen for giving the preferred view of events at the time. It can be looked upon really as one of the first scientific paper publications (only without so much of the science as we know it today). At the time, scientific method had not been established and so the inclusion of opinion, heresay (which it all is given the writers are talking about events all well before their own lifetimes) & other such factors are all valid.
Dinosaurs of course were not known of back then and had not been discovered... and so they were not included. It should also be noted that a great deal else isn't included in the bible that we now know of today and a great deal was included that we know to be false. This is why the church really should update & republish it for a bit more credibility.

Just because the bible doesn't mention dinosaurs doesn't mean that the weren't around OR that because they were around and the bible doesn't mention them the bible is bull. The bible is mostly bull, but that's not the point.
Most philosophers (or at least the ones who beleibve in the bible) now think that the bible was never mean to be taken seriously, and genesis was an analogy, like when scientists describe the timeline as at certain O'clocks. Trying to explain these things to primitive farmers like the early Jews were would never have worked, which explains why it is so vague, unsientific, etc.
Anyway, the bible wasn't written by God, but by man, so the fact they weren't in there proves nothing at all. As I said, if you'd have tried to explain dinosaurs to primitive men do you think they would have understood, they would have just thought of them as demons or something similarly supernatural.
That's not my personal opinion, but it's a point worth making I think.

The Bible says in Genesis that God created all the beasts of the Earth before he made Man. If you remember correctly, Man was the last creature that God made on the 6th day. I believe all beasts included dinosaurs as well. Just because it doesn't mention 'dinosaurs' explicitly doesn't mean they aren't included, just like every other animal that roams the Earth. Just one way of looking at things.

I think there were a few dinosaurs left.... but most lived in the lost world, on an island surrounded by rock and covered by trees. This was later to be discovered by some explorers in a submarine. So thats why there is no mention of them .... and Godzilla lived in the sea.. but not the bit that was 'parted'...... and Lochness monster, would have been too small to swim down for Christmass..... else im sure it would have been 3 wise men and Nessie.
But if your looking for someone to blame for the dinosaurs being wiped out... its oviously Noah...... the picky git didnt put two of everything onboard....

The conceit of men both modern and ancient to believe they have the definitive answer to a 'question' we hardly understand - is breathtaking, and the cause of misery and fear and conflict throughout history.
Nothing has changed in the modern era - we argue the pros and cons of the 'truth' behind creation, we fight and kill because of our conflicting opinions, yet not one man nor many can sensibly claim to know the 'real' truth, nor throughout future-time will we ever know the 'real' truth.
To assume we have even the slightest idea of the 'truth' of creation now is ridiculous - to assume the writers of the Bible had the answers over two thousand years ago is even more ridiculous!
I think that the only knowledge that is worth having, is that of the creator, and that if, one day, humanity evolves and develops to an ultimate understanding of creation, that then and only then, the circle would be closed.
Created becomes creator????

PERSONAL OPINION, NO FLAMES PLEASE...
One thing that came out of some recent trial notes got me thinking - even today, many desert cultures have no concept of time beyond days, weeks and lunar cycles. And it's not easy for anyone to get round the concept of "geological" time.
So, let's say an infinitely ancient, infinitely powerful being who designed and guided the Universe tries to describe the creation process, to someone who isn't necessarily able to express the time that took in words (and might be a bit awestruck in talking to the Creator at the time of writing).
Add in translations and helpful sub-editing from generations of scholars... or in the words of the old spiritual, "a thousand ages in your sight are but an evening gone".
Just my 2 influence, but the moral of the story is that the Bible may be the word of God, but as written down by entirely fallible humans. And never trust an editor.
PS: you been listening to Bill Hicks albums?

Because there were no people when the dinasours roamed the earth. Since they can't "write" (no plausible thumbs) -- how were they supposed to write anything? The Bible was written by man - not animals. There WERE dinasours. Ya know, this is the thing - it's gotten to be almost like Republicans and Democrats. One against the other. Science and Religion can/do work hand in hand (other than a couple of controversial things). God put us on this earth to learn and do well (among other things). How many doctors go to church? PLENTY OF THEM!! You think doctors (who believe - many of them) don't pray to God to help them get through surgeries and all that? Yes they do. It isn't black and white here.

The bible says humans are created before man. Many religions believe that dinosaurs have never existed and their fossils were put there to create doubt in god.
Worked for me.

if it has been proven, which it has! then there would be some descrepancies in the bible wouldent there??? dinosaurs i think where only discovered late 1800s to early 1900s ??? so when the bibles where supposed to be written by the aposels they would have had no information about them. then again the universe was supposed to be created by God and not Jesus and the bible is really about Jesus. correct me if im wrong!
