Your answer assumes that elites really do get to rule. I agree that they seem to be at the fore front, but I don't believe that that is where all the real power lies. Think of all the groups that participate in the day to day running of our world- interest groups, the media, companies and individuals all play major power roles. In an age of globalisation, where boundaries are being crossed and broken and new methods of participation and communication are being created, I find it impossible to say that only one group has the power. The problem is, perhaps only they choose or get the chance to exercise it. We all have the right, we all have the power, we all have the influence, we just have to fight to use it, to choose to use it, and fight for those who are being denied it.
