Funny you asked, just talked to my doctor about this yesterday! They are coming out with a pill called Xenical OTC-(ALLI) going to be the first OTC diet pill with FDA approval. My doctor said it is very effective. Not out yet but will be soon.
I am waiting on it!!

Ephedra.
While eating less and exercising more sounds good, if someone has not personally experienced the depression and sense of hopelessness that comes with a life long fight against ones weight you cannot understand. All fat people do not eat pizza and ice cream every day washed down with a 2 liter bottle of pop. Unfortantly, many people have the concept that fat=lazy, and being overweight is seen as a major character flaw in the US.
That being said, if someone needs a little help to get started and feel the good feeling that comes with early success. While not a long term solution, pills can help with that intial push and also as a little extra when you reach those annoying platues...
To answer the question... Ephedra is avilable again for the time being. A federal court overturned the previous ruling making it illegal. If you want it get it soon, because the FDA is talking about banning it again... I'm not sure what brand you'd want, but be sure if you go in for any surgery tell your doctor if you're on it. My sister-in-law is a OR nurse and says she's had 3 people crash on the table during minor surgery because they were on it...

There unfortunately is not a magic pill. However I was very successful using Isagenix products. I lost 10 lbs in 9 days and was able to keep it off. I also feel better than I have in a long time. The program is easy to follow and stick with. My friends have also had a lot of luck with the isagenix system. This is a link that explains everything you may want to know about the products.

Eat rite and don't drink soda and stay away from fatty foods. Do your best to eat lot's of fruits and veggies. You can also consult
with your doc, and find out what is best for you. I'm sure he or she can help you start a program. Also start to go walking of jogging,It helps if you just do it slowly. Day by day and 1st start with 30 min, then later you can try an add another 10 min. Good luck and remember too stay healthy.

don't take pills.
just do what my grandpa did to lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks
eat about 18-22 cups of water every day, whenever you feel hungry, drink more water, then have a small piece of italian or french bread. maybe a couple baby carrots, green tea, PLAIN salad (just plain lettuce, celery tomato, carrots)
and also, to REALLY help, go to the track and run , or jog, or even walk 4 laps (1 mile)
then the weight just falls off

Stop looking for magic in a pill. Go out there and exercise and eat better foods. And do your research, don't just blindly accept what the bottle says.
