The truck proceeds across the bridge, and when he is halfway across a 1oz bird lands on the rail of the bridge. Does the bridge collapse?? Why or why not?? First correct answer gets the points.

The exact weight capacity of the bridge is 10,000. In this case there is no extra weight allowed. Keep guessing though.

If the truck's weight is 50,000 lbs, how did it manage to reach the halfway? I mean ,doesn't someone (not a ghost or a spirit or something like this) drive this f*** truck???
The bridge would collapse from the moment the truck stepped over the bridge coz trucks weight + driver's weight is over 50,000 lbs

It doesn't collapse if the limit is 50,000 lbs. The weight of the bird or truck must be heavier. Imagine a normal bridge how many pressure it must supports.

Shoot... good riddle! You are making me think WAY TOO MUCH for it only being 7:07am and all. I WANT to say that the bridge will collapse because that's what seems to make sense. But I also have this gut feeling that it WON'T collapse but I'm not sure why. Anyway, I'll have to keep checking to see what the right answer is. I'm also going to avoid bridges with birds around them today as well, just in case. =)

It doesn't collapse. Because it has driven two and a half miles - you would subtract the petrol (gas) used from the total weight of the truck. Thus giving the truck less weight when the bird lands on it. Can I have the points now? :P

The bridge won't collapse. It's impossible to cause the bridge to collapse just coz' of a 1 oz bird coz' it's just too light.

No it will not collapse because engineers usually give the bridge more strength to carry more than the weight limit.

tHE BRIDGE WILL NOT COLLAPSE ALTHOUGH THE BRIDGE AND THE TRUCK ARE HAVING THE SAME WEIGHT BECAUSE THE ENGINEERS MAKE BRIDGE TO HOLD MORE THAN ITS WEIGHT AND THE BIRD IS NOT CONNECT BECOZ IT LAND ON THE RAIL NOT ON THE TRUCK
NO CAN I HAVE POINTS?
