I have never had blood clots during menstruation before now that I am over 30 yrs old, I have some for the first 3 days of menstrual period. I get worried because I don't want to get anemic. Could it be because I have gained weight? Maybe I have a problem with my ovaries or uterus? I had four pregnancies but I only have one child and I have never had this problem until a few months ago. Please help!

It's probably not a blood clot.....when we have our periods, we shed part of our uterus lining......that's probably what it is.....don't worry.

I don't think we have anything to worry about. I personally noticed two that plopped out on me yesterday, and this is common. I have had two kids, and have actually lost some weight but had some blood clots (still after 30) when I was heavier.
Perhaps it could have something to do with the stress level, or more likely, if you are using a tampon, the last time you changed it since the blood will "pool" up inside us before we take it out.
If it is accompanied by a great deal of pain or other changes then perhaps it is time to go to the dr and have a check up, but other than that, I think it is fine.. and nothing to worry about.
