Yeah it is retarded, since women did the boobs become not highly sexual and if you are showing that much, a man is going to get very distracted and aroused like the nips are showing. If a woman goes to the beach in a little sticker and g string and worries about her nipples showing, I'm seriously going to question her intelligence. A woman's body is not one dimensional, so men loves other parts just as much or find sexually arousing. I would think sexual attractiveness would override shock value, because that is why nipples can't be shown when every other inch, because like I said if it was on the sexual arousal basis, other parts should not shown to the extent that they are. The logic is really lacking when you put this all together. Cool-so a sticker isn't going to have a man salivating or a nice naked ***? You were tight tops to keep everything in place. It is not comfortable having all the bouncing around. It actually hurts and they do a lot of bouncing.

I don't think it is as bad as you describe it. Female athletes must wear a sprots bra to allow maximum movement. Female usually don't think of their chest as being a viewing distraction but more likely as a distraction to there own game. So you are probably wrong if you think female athletes use their sexually to make them better or popular seeing that they are most likely to be competeing against other females. It's all in the eye of the beholder but this is probably closer to reality. Sorry.
