There are only two possibilities; John Terry of Chelsea or Steven Gerrard of Liverpool, and one of those two will definitely be chosen as next captain. Perhaps Lampard has an outside chance, but I doubt it.
I would prefer Gerrard, he is much more consistent than Terry and it is always best to have a midfielder as captain rather than a defender.
