The universe, of course, has no objective. It is composed of mass and energy forms, and that's it. It is like asking what the objective of the moon might be. If the universe is not as it is for reason(s) of its own, then why is it there at all?

In the Book of Genesis, Moses wrote that God created the universe on the fourth day of creation. That should not seem so strange. In that stars were created at all, it would not matter when, in relation to the timeline of earth they were done so.

They were created for signs (birth of Christ and a guide for three wise men), and for mankind that we might understand God is very powerful, and not at all like what we directly see about ourselves (if this were really part of our awareness, the making of idols would never have happened).

The Universe has no aim. The natural sciences are about causes and effects, not purposes. Go to the social-science section to ask those questions.

HAHAHAHAHA!! I would like to react on what "me" said... "go to the social science section to ask those questions"... HAHAHAHA!! But right, I agree with him, science is about cause and effect, without knowing what caused this huge dynamics of cause-and-effect or how it started or when (are you gonna tell me too to go to the society and culture/religion section?:p) And if you're gonna ask "why the universe is there at all", the universe is the very meaning of the word "existence", it just exists, and we just gave it the name "universe" which is a vast collection of existence like us :)

Hi,

Well, the Creator created it, and then also us. He gave is also curiosity to explore the Universe.

Since he can do all and see all, he might have also give us the solutions to everything but he did not. Seems to me he likes playing with us...

get a religion that is what they are for - to give answers to the un-explainable. However rediculous the answers may be. Just be sure to swallow your religion with a good healthy dose of gullible and you will be all set.

Viola! cured.

Good question. Nobody can answer that though. You'll have to get used to that empty feeling in your gut now.
