As far as I know, there are no current players from the UK - I believe that the last player was a goaltender named Byron Defoe from Sussex, GBR.

Not English, British: Owen Nolan was born in Belfast, but he's a Canadian citizen. Though he's still in contract wrangles with the Leafs and still not playing. He said he won't play the 06-07 season because of injury -- technically he's not gone yet.
I want to like Nolan for a lot of reasons, but some of his behavior is unbelievable BS.
