1/ Argentina should have a player who can shot a long distance away from a goal to score a goal like Batigoal and Veron
2\Tevez should not play individually ( he is a good player , i belive )
3/ The team should have a wise coach ( i prefer Pekerman to return back even he made huge mistake but he made a strong team too , remember )

They do have players who can shoot at a long distance...Maxi Rodriguez for one.....Also, Tevez is an amazing player as an individual and he plays great in the team as well. Pekerman is ok....but, he made a big mistake at the end of the game against Germany which is why he probably won't coach again.

1/Who do you suggest? Besides, I think mid- long-range shots are not Argentina's style. They had no problem getting in 11 goals in this tournament.

2/No striker should play individually. Any coach that plays a 4-5-1 lineup should be fired (e.g., Bruce Arena for USA, Sven-Goren Eriksson for England). I thought Brazil's 4-3-3 was crazy, but it looked fun. Argentina went with the proven 4-4-2 most of the time, but their 3-5-2 against Serbia & Montenegro embarrassed a strong defence. However, individual play is one of Tevez's weaknesses. He is amazing and he can charge up the middle of the field and get much farther on his own than most players could dream. But that is precisely his weakness: he will charge up the middle on a whim and he tends to not pass the ball as readily as others, which occasionally results in a goal like the one against Serbia & Montenegro, but more often results in losing possession of the ball, which is what happened against Germany all game long, especially after they took Crespo out.

3/Argentina has a great coach in Pekerman. I think it is telling that, even though he has tended his resignation, Argentines (fans and players) want him to stay. This is in a country that has a long tradition of firing the coach after the first loss. That they want to keep him speaks volumes about him. I think everyone realizes he made some poor decisions during the German game which led to their elimination, but the body of work in putting the team together and producing the quality football out of his players up to that point is of more consequence. I'm sorry to disagree with Lola P, but I don't think Maradona is the answer for this one.

1. Agreed. Against Germany they insisted on dribbling the whole way up the field, even when it wasn't working. We were all shouting "Shoot the ball!"

2. Tevez certainly is a good player. I don't have any complaints about him.

3. Pekerman can coach, but he made some idiotic substitutions against Germany. Why bring on Cambiaso, who was the worst player on the field against Mexico, in for Riquelme??

ugh...veron was a jerk. there should never be anyone like him on the team ever again!!!

tevez is amazing and can definitely play individually...hes short so he can weave around players pretty easily.

peckerman is an idiot and should not come back. maradona should be the next team coach!

I asgree that tevez is too individualist, and Peckermann made a mistake palying defense in the last minutes of the match.
