Be positive, and be a team player. That means not whining when you have to do something, and having a can-do attitude.
Don't play games, don't scheme, be honest, and sincere.
I can't imagine a boss that won't like a hardworking, honest person. Except of course if you can't do your job well. So make sure you get your job done efficiently and effectively too.

Why do you want him to like you more, are you trying to make it a personal relationship. Boss's should respect you not like you.
