I can't pick just one:
Comedy: "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" is so funny, that I have trouble breathing in some parts.
Drama (political/moral): the courtroom scene of "Fountainhead" is one of best statements of a human's right to liberty that I have ever heard in a movie.
The acting in this scene is non-optimal, but the lines are incredible.
Politics/Society: "The Fog of War" is a documentary and interview of U.S. Secretary of Defense (during the 1960s) Robert McNamara.
It is very revealing of how close we came to nuclear holocaust during the cold war, due to the ignorance of arrogance of leaders on all sides.
"The Corporation" is an excellent documentary on the moral and social ramifications of the current legal entity known as a corporation.

It depends upon the individual & kind of mood one is into.As far as iam concerned,here goes the list:
Currentely,it has to be Transporter II,Jason Statham is smooth,if you havent wathced it,its higly recommended.
For inspiration,the Rocky series.
For the lifestyle of a person,it has to be James Bond series.
If you are into mafia movies,than Carlito's Way is way above any other.
