im starting work on monday at a garage + i know all the other mechanics hate me , i was given the option from a m8 to try weed it's still pondering in my brain to have a smoke be4ore i go plz help ppl.

If you get chilled out on it go for it, you could get paranoid though and it could make things worse

I wouldn't recommend it. Research has shown smoking weed will likely make you demotivated as well as all the other health risks involved.
What is it that gives you the feeling all the other mechs hate you? Is there something specific that comes to mind.
Starting a job is always a difficult and challenging thing to do. It's only natural that you will have some worries about this. After all, you are going into something that is unknown to you. You are bound to experience some stress for a few days just getting to know your new surroundings. This will probably settle down after a while.
I wish you luck and hope that it becomes a success for you.

In my opinion it would be crazy to go to your first day on the job high on weed not to mention being high around people who hate you. If they really hate you as you say, what is to keep them from telling the management that you are high? No matter what you do you can't hide the smell of marijuana. People always think they can by spraying themselves with cologne or just letting the air hit them. That does NOT work. You can still smell it and you can still see that "glassy" look in a person's eyes after they've been smoking.
So, if you don't really care go ahead and smoke but just know that you probably won't be there long and you won't be able to use them for a reference for another job.

I think I'd go along and have a go - you're not likely to make friends with your new colleagues if you're high as a monkey and no use to anybody there. Get stuck in, if you're worried that your new work mates dislike you from elsewhere outside of work you may well find that in the workplace they will come to either tolerate or like you very quickly.
As for the spliff, if it doesn't go well, then have a toke when you get home - it's a great way to unwind and destress after an awful day.

nope take another look oops wrong direction look down! ah there they are . you don't need extra stress like that man be smart!
If they want you to just say no and walk away.
1. it is a waste of money and nothing good ever came of it
2. it also is a highly waste of money it smells and locks in clothing
3. highly illegal and 1 joint will land you in jail for max.. of 3 days and if more the time in jail goes up and so does the bond to get out of jail and you got a mark on your work record maybe for life and that will hurt!

Just go there on Monday and get on with what you are there to do and never mind who likes and dislikes you.
If you are paranoid before you start smoking weed will make you even more paranoid.

Don't be stupid, the people that take drugs are weak, so unless you think your weak, tell your so called mate to P*** off, and true mates don't offer you things like that, a true mate would stand by you and help you get though the day.

no, if you're going to smoke weed do it when it won't affect your work perfomance. don't worry about what the other mechanics think of you, just do your best work and ignore them as much as possible.
