It's ok, Harry Potter is a fictional character, he has to die to give the author a break in life. She needs some time to enjoy her family and wealth. On the other hand, when my brother and I went to see Davy Crockett at the Alamo, we had no idea that he was going to die at the Alamo. Kids were screaming and crying all over the place. The problem was, Davy Crockett was a real person. He was everyone's hero, we all had coon skin hats and Davy Crockett lunch boxes. At the age of 8, it was very traumatizing. It may be painful, but Harry is not real.

i'm not fairly keen on the "Harry is a Horcrux" theory, frequently because i imagine it really is extraordinarily astonishing and that i don't believe of JKR may play that perspective. For some reason when I heard that one personality were given a very last minute reprieve and a couple of others were given the shaft i concept that Lupin changed into the only kept and Parvati changed into going to die. merely instinct. Snape: i imagine he takes section in his own ballgame and no one else is prevalent with. I also purchase the theory that he changed into in love with Lily Evans (not, although, that she loved him in go back... it really is glaring that she and James were very a lot in love). i imagine Voldemort will actual perish, yet as for Harry's destiny i'm iffy. She ought to bypass both way, fairly.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
It wouldn't only be sad, but it would be the tragic end to a series that has insisted that it is about Good vs. Evil and for Harry Potter to die it would in essence ruin the whole Good always winning against the bad stuff idea........... yeah.. thats my 2cents worth :-)

Is it fair that his parents were killed by an evil wizard? I'm not sure what you mean by "fair", but it is one of the requirements of a tragic hero (at least, a few people argue that Harry is a tragic hero; I tend to agree) to die. It is the requirement of a tragic hero to die; what better way for Harry to go than facing his arch-nemesis (anti-hero)?

BTW answer-ers: there is SPELL CHECK

i'm torn about that. it depends on HOW he dies. it would probably be hard for him to go on living his adult life as a legend, etc. -- face it, everyone is pretty in awe of him and he has a celebrity to live up to. i assume that he will defeat his nemesis at the end of 7, and after that, what is there for he to live for? but, I admit, as a fan, I don't want to see him die, even if it is heroic, meaningful, etc. where did you hear this, anyway? just wondering if this is conjecture or someone has let the cat out of the bag....

In a world of magic, death doesn't mean a thing. Even if Harry does die in the 7th, that doesn't mean that a resurrection spell can't bring him back for further adventures.

i'm not saying it's fair or not but what me and my family think is that Harry and Voldemort will go face to face like she plans, then they will both cast the killing curse, ending in them both killing each other. i heard in a recent interview that she does not intend to continue her books, and she doesn't want anyone else to. so you can't make any more books if the main character is dead...

nope. I don't think he should die.

Wouldn't make sense to the series if that happens - one little boy, who suddenly becomes wizard, destined to fight against the most evil wizard of all time and then dying in the process.

Good news story, but the charm of this series would be in his survival of this huge challenge

No, I really don't think that it would be right to end the series by killing Harry off.

I think he should not die! I also think that J.K.Rowling said that Harry Potter will stay alive but two characters will die
