We're going for two weeks in July of next year and we enjoy relaxing by the pool, sunbathing on a nice beach, eating out at traditional restaurants and sight-seeing - anyone got any advice as to which is best?

Both places are wonderfull. However they differ.

Parga is more tranditional and more relaxing .

Lefkada is crowded , more expencive but with extaordinary beaches. You must have a car or a motobike to exlpore the whole island ang go from one beach to the other each day.

If you prefer to stay in Parga by the pool , first you have to find a hotel with pool (there are few )

About the days , i thing 2 weeks are enough to visit all beaches of Lefkada but too many for Parga.Unless you decide to visit the areas around there which are of course beautiful too .

If my vote counts , I would give it to Parga but then again , I think you have plenty of time till next summer to check following two links for each place and decide from you own.

You will have a great time no matter what you choose ;)

I guess Zakynthos and Kefalonia are the best place to stay in that area (ionian islands) also Kerkyra (Corfou) is Great but it's a little bit Northern....
