i've never had any reason to suspect my husband of cheating or going places he shouldn't, but i am suspicious of he activitivies tonight. he works afternoon shift and gets off at 1:00am, sometimes they work overtime, but he got home around 4:00am , which isn't unnormal if they work over, but he woke me up for sex, which isn't unnormal either, but i smelled beer on his breath and got suspicious. so afterwards i went to the bathroom and his clothes were in there so i smelles them , they deffentely DID NOT smell like our house smell. it wasn't just in certain spots, it was all over, not like a woman, just like a different place, i checked his wallet and found nothing unnormal. i need to find out if i'm just crazy or he went somewhere after work. i'll straight out ask him in the morning, but in themeantime, any suggestions, and how can i tell if he lies?

Well, let me ask you this. is your husband not allowed to go out with a couple of the guys and blow off some steam once in awhile? About once a week I go out with some of the guys from work and drink a few beers smoke a cigar and shoot some pool. I would hope my wife would understand the need for typical male bonding, and unwinding from a long day at work. I wouldn't be accusing when you ask him where he was lastnight, but more curious. You said he didn't do anything out of the ordinary. So I would assume that all he did was have a few beers with some buds.

Personally, if I knew my wife was going to be this much of an over analizer before I married her, I probably wouldn't have. Good job super sleuth, you found him out!!

First you didn't state what type of smell was on the clothes. If they smelled irsh clean fresh then,,,,but if they smelled of cigarette some, then the bar might be a possibility, or a woman's perfume would be the ultimate confirmation. As for lies, just remember this: A lie only makes sense to the liar, it never makes sense to the hearer. If you hear a voice in your head that softly whispers "that doesn't make sense" after hearing his explanation then 9 times out of 10 it's a lie.

The good news is he came home and woke you up for sex. If he doesn't come home or comes home too tired to perform then start to worry. I think you're worried over nothing. Don't make it sound like a big deal when you ask him, just casually ask if he stopped for a beer last night and see how he reacts. He probably won't have a lie prepared so if it takes him a long time to answer or if he gets mad and starts to ask you questions he may be hiding something.

First of all you are going way over board and personally I would be mad at you for being way to suspicious.

Obviously the man worked some over time and then stopped at the bar with the guys for a couple beers.

I don't know where you are from but In the USA that is a common thing and nothing to worry about.

But the way you are snooping and trying to check up on him shows that you are looking for something to be wrong when it is not.

BAD WIFE BAD!!!

He could have beer at work. Some jobs they do sneak and drink during break and some during work time. The smell that is not your house may be the workplace since he was there for a while. Some women don't wear perfume like myself. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just wait time will tell.

If he carries a cell phone with him check his history and or id caller and redial. check carefully for any marks on his body. Check for spots on his clothing. Check for phone numbers on papers with feminine handwriting in pockets. Watch for the next few days on how things appear. When you get that feeling that something that aint right, look into it. But make sure that you aint over reacting on this. He came home to you and he shared your bed. Just watch on how he reacts to your questions, if he changes the subject or gets upset, he is trying to cover up something. If there is a trust issue, sit down and talk to him, try not to argue or it would stike up tention and stress. Communication is a plus in a relationship and it goes both ways in trusting eachother. If you smelt anything on him that was not like you or home, chances are it maybe from his work or somewhere he was at before he came home to you. ask him he can just give you a quick honest answer. Go from there and I hope you figure out on what happend.

Sounds to me like he may have just been in a bar drinking with the guys. There's all sorts of smells in bars...like cigarette smoke and booze. He came home wanting sex, so it appears he hadn't already taken care of that.

Sounds like this doesn't happen often, so just let it go. Next time joke around and ask...so, did you have a good time with the boys dear? If he tells you about it, you should know if it sounds like the truth.

If he hasn't ever given you cause to worry then I wouldn't. He wasn't trying to hide anything since he came home and jump on you. I would be suspicious if he jumped in the shower, brushed his teeth ten times, gargled with Listerine and ate peppermints! Sounds like he just had a few beers with the guys. Just ask him in the morning!
