It has been around for thousands of years but a good way to eliminate corruption in the US government would be to do the following:
Eliminate the Income tax, business income taxes, death tax, social security and medicare withholding and the IRS and replace all of it with a national sales tax on goods and services at the retail level. It is called the Fair Tax and it has been proposed in congress. This would eliminate all the loopholes in our tax system that congressmen give to their Buddy's and everyone would be taxed fairly.
Eliminate Earmarks. Earmarks are the little add ons to bills that normally are spending projects that do not get voted on except when people vote on the main bill. If they were voted on individually they would not pass they are their because a congressmen was building something for a friend or something to buy votes back home.
Just those two things would limit corruption so much that I am going to cut this answer short. anyone who did these two things would go down in history as one of the best leaders our country ever had.

power corrupts, so it is best to spread it evenly amongst the people.
Adopting the Venezulan constitution would be a good start for any country.

By making bribes legal ... it wouldn't be called corruption anymore, would it?
I know, it's not an ideal solution ...
