My car has a knocking noise AND shudders when I hit the brake!

Check your oil. You know there's a dipstick you can pull out to do that, before you go to a mechanic and possibly get screwed out of hundreds of dollars. You may have warped rotors as well. Rotors are part of the brake system--they're like plates that are sandwiched between your brake shoes (in disk brakes, which are usually on the front two wheels of cars). When brake shoes wear unevenly on your rotors, those rotors can develop grooves or actually bend (warp) a little. Sometimes the rotors can be "turned" (the surfaces re-flattened), but sometimes they need to just be replaced.

That doesn't seem rightfully healthy.....it needs some help pronto! Ya definitely oughtta either go get it checked Professionally or the cheaper solution is to get a Knowledgable Skilled Friend or Family member to take a look at it & fix the existing problem for your own safety eh. Something like that shouldn't be ignored or chanced! Good luck with the life of your car....it sounds like it's dying!

rod knock in motor and bad brake rotors. pretty much junk! unless it's a newer car.

It's a MACHINE and incapable of attributes like being feces or even a PIECE of feces.

You should love your machine and never say "things" that would make it sad...
