I dreamt I was put under anesthetics. It was a very detailed dream, it was in a real hospital. I could feel how everything turned black. It felt so real. How can I have this dream if I have never been put under anesthetics and wha could this mean?

Let me analyze this dream for you...

1. Anesthetics = Drug = be controlled by something or things you want to have to vent or over come stress
2. Hospital = please you are controlled.
3. Everything turned black = your hope is drifting away.

First of all, I hope you didn't see any movie or series like ER. Because daily activities like seeing a movie, actually seeing someone in the hospital can contrilbute that kind of dreams.

Your dream is telling you that you are being controlled by something that you have no control of. For example, you are in a job that someone is over you and giving your stress. That anesthetics may mean stress or you want something to control your stress. So you are telling yourself to take some care of drug to control. Hospital could signify something too, it is a public place. That could mean socially you are being left out and you want to be seen. However, you can't control it. All you see is darkness. Maybe you are left out in some sort of parties or environment??

Not knowing your background (education, history, childhood), I could be wrong, but that is how I see the dream.

what does the word anesthetic mean to you? Is it about being numb, unconscious or something else? When you find a word that anesthetic represents, look it up in a dictionary and this could be a clue to what the dream is showing you.

I think it is possible to have this dream from the many times you have heard of the effects of anesthesia and seen it on TV etc. So to have the knowledge that you drift off is really not surprising at all.

What the dream means ??? I have never heard of that one so I can't say.

Extreme darkness suggests that you are hiding something or are unwilling to see things clearly. You may be the type who likes to ignore, minimize, or hide problems. The darkness represents a lack of awareness and illumination. If you honestly look at the content of your dream, you may be able to identify some areas of your life or personal experience that need warmth, light, and airing.

Hi Lotta,
This dream may be a warning. It may be indicating that there is something in your life that is having similar effects of numbing your senses, reducing your abilities to respond and interact normally in your environment, and turning everything "black". Hope this helps!
