How do DJ's get their start?

There are radio schools. Look on google. Many people get started working at a radio station off air. Then they make connections with necessary people who give them their break. Good Luck!

I would guess they start as apprintices, getting no pay to do all the dirty work, then work their way up from there. That's prolly how TJ Trout got his start. And he sux. Erica Viking on the other hand has moved her way up. I hope they're paying her what she's worth. She's really good.
