Wouldn't be easier to write the A,B,C....instead of small sticks that look like children drawings?

Excuse me, but I think ABCs look more like children drawings as opposed to Mandarin. It's simply the way we have evolved our language. Unless you want someone to make fun of your language, then stop. It's not weird.

The written language is based on a pictograph type of scheme wherein the characters bear some resemblance to that which they depict. For example, the character for the word railroad is said to look like a station with horse stalls perhaps a visual representation of a train station. In any case, rather than "A, B, C" the characters generally represent words or concepts.

Interestingly enough, I have been told that Chinese characters, Japanese Kanji and those same Chinese characters used in Korean writing basically mean the same thing although the specific pronounced word may be somewhat different.

I guess if we took a show of hands among the planet here, it would be us against 1.25 billion Chinese - I dont suppose they think there's anything very weird about their ancient form of writing.

because in ancient time, they are not taught a,b,c. In that time, they started to write based on symbols. Then they developed it into chinese wording like now. Its not weird, its just a development from symbols that they wrote thousands years ago.

For you, yes, because that is what you learned first and are accustomed to, but the Chinese might be saying the same thing about the ABC's

Actually, Chinese characters are small pictures. However, it is a very precise language, even moreso than english. Chinese people tell me its difficult to learn, also.

That's just plain ignorant. If you had grown up qriting in Mandarin, you'd find it far easier than our Arabic alphabet

if you couldn't open your eyes fully, you would scribble too. jk! I have a lot of respect for kongi and other Oriental forms. So much detail for one word, that's awesome.
