Soccer is lame and I never weep. You should weep for even watching it.

I guess football players must keep their head when playing. At the end of the match a player, as any athlete, could free his tension. I saw many Olympic athletes crying after a victory, as well as football players...
When a final stage WC match ends with your lost, I think it's easy to be overcame from emotion. You've done your best effort, were waiting for this day since you were a child, and now all is gone. I perfectly remember Italian captain Franco Baresi when Italy lost at penalties against Brazil '94 WC final (Baggio and Baresi fails their shoots). Baresi was not only an experienced player who collect many awards in Milan, but a sportsmanship and fair-play champion, and a cold guy always keeping his head. He was crying like a baby (as thousands of Italians were), he was too aged and it was its last WC. I haven't found this childish, they were nerves, emotion, tension grown in neverending 120' playing and penalties.
A broken dream.
Same words are true for supporter in all sports. Many of them had spent money and holidays, thousands of miles long journeys, just to support their team. I really can't figure out how you couldn't understand this.
To blame emotion in other, THIS is childish.... :-( I'm not going further about your whip, even if you are deserving some good suggestions... bad speaking isn't usual to me...
However, if I would cry it'll be only for Italy, winning or losing. I don't need any whip to have emotions.

There are people who weep because their passion for their team or player is great. Thus, when their team or player lose, they are emotionally affected and their only outlet is to cry. Anyway, on my part, I will not weep after the game between France and Italy but will celebrate.

What I can say is that football is a game of passion and if you are a true fun then you automatically get attached to it and then when your team looses you will have to be emotional and that is why people end up crying. Better those that cry, we have even heard people kill others.
For me am not attached to neither Italy nor France so I wont cry if any looses.

I think your missing the point here. World Cup soccer is something that these athlets look forward to their entire lives. They only do this every 4 years, so like the Olympics, they have to wait 4 years to try to win, and if they loose, must wait another 4 years. Even more so, they feel like they let their countries down. I know soccer isn't the United States cup of tea, but who knows, we might do the same thing if their was a World Cup of Football.
