Do your homework regarding the person/business. Show a true interest (no BS) and know what you are talking about.

Well, that really depnds on what you want to acheive by 'winning them over' and what you 'want to win them over to' :)

It dosen't matter what business you are in, good communication skills will hold you in good stead.

How do you learn these skills? First you need to know 'where you are lacking' in these skills (If you don't know, ask someone who will be honest with you - but you will need to be wiling to listen!)

The link below is a great resource for some general information on communication skills.

Hope you find this helpful :)

Depends upon the people you wish to "win over".

It's worth considering that everyone is different, has different views, different lives and different needs.

Getting to know people is a good start. Listen, empathise, and then decide why you want to win them over and if it is wise to do so.

Have fun!

why does it matter how you win people if you know being yourself is the best way to go? why be curious to know how to win people over? We live too much by conforming ourselves to better fit other peoples lives, by reserving ourselves and trying ti win people over we falsify ourselves and therefore are being fake. its not cool
