I have won a sony ericsson k750i phone in a competition. I want to know if my boyfriends 3 sim card will work in the phone if it is unlocked.

It will work only if the phone is unlocked. In the UK pay as you go phones must be unlocked if the owner requests it. This is usually done by obtaining the unique keycode from the seller. Turn on the phone with the new SIM in it and it will ask for the unlocking code.

If it is on a contract they don't need to supply the code, but if you own the phone outright Oftel have decreed that they must give it to you.
