Demand for trucks is still there, so you'll have plenty of work, but the trucking business has and will always be a very low margin business. You need a very detailed business plan to see if the numbers make sense for you. The amount of money you need to shell out for truck payments, insurance, fuel, tires, repairs is a lot...plus the aggravation of trying to manage drivers and knowing how much they tear up your equipment.
