What kind of recognition?

If it's publication? Then submit

If you just want to wow readers with your writing talents and not care if you're getting paid/not, you can blog it (so many free blogs out there, like blogger.com and yahoo has free blogs); you can build your own website.

As I write my novel, I'm building my name recognition so I got myself a blog:

http://shalladeguzman.blogspot.com/

and a website:

http://shalladeguzman.com/

And join forums for writers, you'll get to meet other writers there. If you like to meet literary agents and editors:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ShalladeGuzman/

Best!
