This is an extremely bad idea. Tigers are wild animals which do not stay cute, small, and cuddly. They grow up to be unpredictable and, well, wild.
Plus they need a huge amount of meat and nutrients each and every day. They need a lot of room to roam around in too. Do you have that kind of room?
They can easily destroy an apartment or home by just playing around and they could seriously hurt you or your family without even meaning to.
People like the two famous guys in Las Vegas have years of experience and a lot of money to work with these cats and yet even one of them was seriously mauled during his act.
Not to mention that in many states (if you are in the US) it is illegal to keep large predators or any wild animal without a license from the state Game and Fish Department. They don't grant these to just anyone either.
It doesn't matter where you are however. It is a really, really, really bad idea to keep animals like lions, tigers, or wolves unless you really know what you are doing and have lots and lots of money.

There is nothing reasonable enough about having a pet tiger, unless you're a professional exotic animal trainer with years of experience (with large carnivores) and the resources available to rear and house such an animal, it is inadvisable. A tiger cub is merely a cute by-product of a tiger breeding program, because a properly maintained tiger should live for a much longer period of time in its adult state than as a cub, and getting one of these endangered creatures for the purpose of enjoying it only in its infancy would be a grotesque waste. It is unrealistic to presume that a tiger can be made to behave as simply an over-sized house cat.
There is no such thing as a domestic tiger. White and gold tigers are only superficial color variations of the species. If you would like an exotic cat, there are a few hybrid cat breeds between the domestic cat and various small wild cat species that have emerged in recent years, such as the Bengal, Savannah, and Chausie. Your neighbors probably don't have cats anything like these three.

NO. Tigers, even ones raised by humans, are not pets. Tiger cubs grow up into tigers, and big cats are dangerous to humans if not handled by trained and experienced people. For this reason, it is ILLEGAL to own a tiger unless you are a licensed wildlife handler.

Most of the tigers in the endangered-animal shelters are former pets who just grew up and became uncontrollable... and they're the lucky ones. The others were either killed to protect the local population or for their pelts and body parts.

I suggest you either start working at the zoo or buy a house across the block. Bad idea to have a tiger. Their owners are often seriously harmed, whatever they appear, they ARE NOT kitties or pets. They grow up, imagine it like having a wild grizzly bear in your house - who wasn't afraid of humans. Get past the cute little tiger image. If you like them so much, really consider reading about them, decorate your house with them, get a striped cat and name it Tiger (animal shelter is a great place!), support rescue organizations THAT RESCUE ABUSED TIGERS FROM THEIR OWNERS. I put that in capitals because houses/and civilians are NOT capable of taking care of a tiger. They are often abused unknowingly. If you love them, you won't want them in your house for their sake.

1. that tiger cub grows up
2. NO its not tame...it NEVER will be tame. its a wild animal
3. idiots own wild animals as pets, and usually get hurt, or others have gotten hurt because of their stupidity
4. they are endangered animals..we humans have done enough damage to them...leave them be!
5. most "pet" tigers, lions, what-have-you end up being abandoned at rescue groups do to poor care, they suffer from abuse, neglect and mal-nutrition.
tigers eat their weight in food every week. they require vitamins and minerals that they dont get in their food...(its not the same as the food they would eat in the wild). Tigers are and ALWAYS will be preditors. they might be lovely with you (though doubtful), but if it escaped i promise you it WILL hunt! and if that happens to be a dog in someones backyard, OR A CHILD it will treat it as prey. you CANNOT tame a wild animal!
it took THOUSANDS of years to domesticate the dog, and cat. we did NOT domesticate the house cat from large cats like lions and tigers, (it was a smaller breed), so the tiger species has no link with the tameness of a domestic cat.
just because the animal is cool looking doesnt mean it would be a good pet. as a matter of fact i find it disgusting that ppl would EVER think of bringing these dangerous animals into their homes, because you have some fanciful notion of playing Tarzan with this wild animal.
Tigers belong in the wild, they belong in an environment where they would be MOST happy! it is HUMANS that have pulled them out of their homeland and turned them into circus acts and sideshow atractions.
ppl want respect, and they want animals to respect them, yet WE refuse to do the same for them! you like tigers so much...GREAT....join a group that supports improving the environment for the wild tiger, help STOP the selling of these wild animals into pulic homes. make the world better for them to live in, DONT act like a greedy selfish human!
Learn about them, respect them, understand them! owning one is not knowing them. owning them is tempting fate...and one day you WILL get eaten! poetic justice i think!

No, your are talking about a WILD endangered species, what right do you have to take one into your home? Yes they are beautiful and they can be cute but Tigers are not meant to be pets. Just buy yourself a cat or sponsor a WILD tiger. Leave them in their natural habitat, where they belong.

I stay in Southeast Kansas and there is a coach the following who raised tremendous cats, bears, etc. for commercials and issues - He continually took his tiger to significant activities and actual enable small little ones take their pictures status in the back of the tiger at our municipal construction 365 days after a magic teach. i believe it become very last summer season, extreme college little ones were out on their farm taking pictures with the tiger like were finished thousands of situations previous. a woman become getting her image taken, the instructor become accurate there, she had had her image concerned concerning the tiger earlier. The tiger reached out a paw apparently for her foot, she screamed, the tiger grabbed her by using the neck i imagine, besides, broke her neck, killed her without delay. they're wild animals with wild organic tendencies, no count how lengthy you've them and the position do they bypass once you don't need them anymore. Please carry out slightly study earlier you would embark on such an adventure. contact the organic world Waystation in California or Tippie Hedren's facility to ascertain the position an excellent style of the cats they're being concerned for got here from and why they're there. I also observed a particular on Animal Planet a procedures back about precisely this same subject and the unhappy results of possessing an animal that would not in any respect be completely domesicated.

tigers are not pets.
end of story.
this is what will happen....
you will get a tiger cub and he will be all cute and cuddley
then you will "forget" to train him professionally and he will grow up
next you will decide he is too much to handle and get rid of him

see bad idea.

No i don't think so...They are still wild animals and could turn on you for no reason...And they have to have alot of meat...I think for a full grown tiger it's 250lb.-500lb. of meat a day...No one could afford a meat bill like that...So,just dream of your little tigers and thats all...
