one day everything started to get inverted, and what I considered solid suddenly changed - is it possible that I have somehow woken up in a parallel universe? If not, why not?

Your parallel self. I believe your parrellel self is right inside of you ;)
We are two halves of one. The body and the Soul. The body we show what we want to show, one of you. The other is the you that probably nobody totally knows depends how open you are etc

Just think, we live within the universe and there is a universe right inside of you, your mind. What is in between the two universes..........the body!

You have to wear aluminum foil over your head go to walmart click your heals together and say there is no place like home three times to the lady that gives out the stickers and you will go back to your universe.
