I didn't know what all the hype was around the GTA games up until I played it at a friends house the other day. I am now probably going to buy it. Vice City is cheaper, but I heard that San Andreas was a lot funner. Can someone who has played both games recommend one or the other. And why is San Andreas so much better?

I played and finished both
I think that San Andreas is better than Vice City but I recommend you that first you start with Vice City
if you enjoyed that then try San Andreas
cuz after you played Vice City you will have fun with San Andreas!

I liked them both. I think san andreas has a lot more to do so it's probably a bit better. I think Vice City had the better music. But overall I'd go with San Andreas. More vehicles, more area...just more everything.

San Andreas is better because u can do more things which u can't do in Vice City(such as swim, jump over fence,etc.).San Andres have lots of tough mission but Vice City have cool soundtrack. The choices between 2 games is in yours. Hope u will have fun in GTA. ^.^

i would recommend san andreas, its more detailed into things and more life-like. also, san andreas is based in the 2000 theme while vice city is the '70s ovarall, i would say that san andreas is the game that you should buy

San Andreas allows you to do more things than in Vice City. You can finally swim, jump fences, and even use a jetpack. BUY SAN ANDREAS!

San andreas was a little too involved for me. I like GTA 3 the best. Its very simple and fun to play.

I think buy Vice City even though more gameplay in san andreas i think VC is the best.

San is really better! Although I must say that vice city had the scarface plot to it, san has better details to it and the game play is far better!

San Andreas is alot better because you can swim pimp out cars you can find and drive boats alot better weapons faster cars there are alot more cheats including flying cars or heel player get 2,500 cash and repair your car
