It is ok I too suffer from insomnia.
too many things in life to actualy "rest" so i just stay up.

Unless you are using dangerous equipment or driving heavy vehicles tomorrow than do not think/worry about it. Go to bed and try to read, else do something else useful, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. As a habitual insomniac I can assure you there is nothing wrong with sleeping an average 4 hours a day if that's what your body wants.

either you are "overtired" from being up too long, or you have something on your mind that isnt letting you relax...
try soaking in a really warm bath for about 15 minutes... get out of the tub and go lay down.... sleep should follow in a few minutes...
when you stay up too long, your 'sleep' responses slow and become "numb" kinda of like when your hungry and you dont eat, eventually the hunger feeling goes away...

ok, try to go to bed, then you may find out the next day that you sleep immediately
